This guitar is the one of the most collectible PRS guitars ever made! Why... because it is the 1st Dragon in the series. There were fewer of the Dragon 1's made ( 50 in total ) and this is #7. Also it just happened to have been custom made for the president of PRS guitars, Clay Evans! One other very special feature is that it is one of only 3 Dragon ones to have Mother of Pearl dragon wings instead of the green colored Malakite that was used on the run. This guitar is immaculate. Not a speck of dust is on this guitar. Incredible Big Leaf Quilted Maple top, rare Amber color, Mahogany Back and Neck, Gold hardware, original Leather PRS case with COA. "When I was sixteen years old, I had a dream about a guitar with a Dragon inlaid down the neck. Twenty years later the technology became available to inlay such a complicated design with precision. This year's Dragon has 201 pieces of abalone, turquoise and mother of pearl. In addition to the inlay, these instruments have some fundamental design changes: 22 frets, a new PRS Stop-tail, increased headstock angle, Dragon pickups, a Wide-fat neck and gold hardware. The Dragon is a work of art and a joy to play. Our most collectable instrument."

This guitar is part of Clay Evans private collection that is being offered for sale exclusively at the Guitar Hangar. For those of you who do not know, Clay Evans was employed by Paul Reed Smith Guitars from 1986 through 2000 and went from Regional Sales Manager to President of the company. Every guitar in his collection is pristine, and has never been played. Many of them still had the protective foam wrap taped in place around the neck that all new PRS guitars are shipped with!  Every guitar in his collection are made from woods carefully selected from Paul's private stash for their quality in tone as well as beauty.
