We want to make your buying experience with the Guitar Hangar a trouble free one. We want you to tell all your friends about us and have them shop here as well. In reality, nobody bats 1000% all the time but we strive to. We firmly believe that word of mouth is the best advertising there is! If you are committed to buying from us, we are committed to making you happy! You can return your purchase from The Guitar Hangar in its original condition for an exchange up to 7 Days from receipt of merchandise with no questions asked and no penalty. Shipping, credit card fees and deposits for special orders or layaways are nonrefundable. Special Orders, layaways and consignments are non cancelable and non returnable as we are buying them in advance for you, but we will do our very best to work out any unforeseen glitches! All returns must be arranged in advance with the Guitar Hangar and given a return authorization number. Rest assured that we are here to help you get the guitar of your dreams, not to turn your dream into a nightmare. Layaway Policy

Guitar Hangar offers 2 layaway plans if you need some time and wish to do a layaway.


1. Two Month layaway

You can layaway anything we sell for 2 months with no penalty for non refundable 20% deposit of the purchase price. Simply pay off the purchase within 2 months and you're all set!


2. Extended Layaway

Extended layaway is available for 2% of the unpaid balance per month which is then added to the purchase price. This is an automatic feature of our layaway plan. If you have a layaway purchase that has not been paid in full within 2 months it automatically goes into extended layaway mode and after the 2nd month has expired, a 2% surcharge is added per month to the unpaid balance until the layaway is paid in full. All other layaway rules apply.

Special Order merchandise, Non Stock merchandise, or merchandise that is ordered in for you is not eligible for the 2 month layaway and would go right to the extended layaway option if you can not pay in full for your merchandise when it arrives.

If for some reason you can not make a payment for 60 days, you must contact us to continue to have any instrument remain on layaway. If after 90 days in extended layaway you do not make any payment, you risk the item being made available for sale and being charged a minimum 25% restocking fee of the purchase price. We will try to reach you before this happens but if you change your phone number or e-mail address, it is your responsibility to notify us

Domestic Shipping

All domestic orders are shipped via FedEx or USPS (United States Postal Service). All items are shipped in proper packaging, and fully insured against loss or damage. Shipments placed after 12pm will be shipped the following business day. 

Please note, we do not ship items without insurance. All packages must be properly packed and insured before they leave our store. 

Need cheaper shipping? If the only thing standing between you and the guitar of your dreams is the shipping charge, contact us! There may be a less expensive shipping option to your area (usually these options take a lot longer to arrive, and aren't that much cheaper, but we'll be happy to check if it will help us get an instrument in your hands). International Shipping

We ship worldwide! International orders are shipped via FedEx International or the USPS. If you have a preferred shipping carrier or preference, please use the info below to contact us BEFORE you place your order. 

International shipments can sometimes take weeks to arrive, depending on your location. Please be patient.

Most countries charge the package recipient a customs fee upon arrival of the package. We are not responsible for customs fees! If you cannot pay the customs fees for your item, that is between you and your country's government. We DO NOT alter customs forms to decrease customs fees.

We reserve the right to refuse shipping to any international country or region based on the current conflicts, government upheavals, natural disasters, etc.
