The story of the PRS Santana goes all the way back to 1976, when Paul Reed Smith approached the legendary Carlos Santana with a single, one-off, hand-made guitar. From the moment you pick up a PRS Santana, it's clear that this guitar is built to be played. Solid, light, and easy to get around on, the Santana Signature Models add natural sustain and speed to every note you play.
This original 1996 Santana I is the original signature model produced by PRS from 1995-1998. With a gorgeous flame top finished in the iconic Santana Yellow, this guitar looks as good hanging on the wall as it sounds on stage or in the studio. Features include the pre-’85 body shape and headstock (with eagle inlay), 24 1/4” scale, 24-fret (11.5” radius) fretboard, bird inlays, maple top, paua shell purfling, Santana humbuckers, tone, and twin mini-switches.
